I’m 70,000 words into my adult fiction book and finally starting to really love it, which I think is a death-knell, right? If I love it then it’s rubbish? Do all writer brains work this way? 🙃

Very true—and while it’s not a nonfiction, it is a story where facts are relevant, so I do think I’ll rework some of the species.

#kidlit writers: I’m writing a dinosaur PB set during the extinction event. I want to use dinosaur characters that weren’t technically alive for the event (they’d gone extinct in other eras)… because they’re more recognizable. Do you think it matters if it’s not scientifically accurate?
