I find “Being with” to be a profoundly timely concept—one that is well worth considering in light of our populist, polarized, and confrontational times. Also, considering teaching as an opportunity to "begin again"… What a beautiful metaphor for this autumn semester!🍂🍂🍂

An inspiring and moving lecture on “Being with” was delivered by David Hansen yesterday. Drawing on Nancy and Heidegger, he presents it as a practice that opens us to attunement, receptivity, and responsiveness in the ongoing effort to create new and fresh beginnings in teaching✨

She argues that the critical digital literacy paradigm is too simplistic in thinking that dismantling a hoax is enough to construct the truth because they use "rationalist tactics" in a moment of political distrust that is driven by affect, avoiding dealing with issues of power and emotions

Stitzein's thesis on how pragmatist inquiry and the cultivation of honesty, is not so much in the individualistic exercise of character or virtue education but in the encounter with the group and its potential for imagining and practicing collective ways of life!

Her writing makes honesty the object and medium of her work, where the what and the how are intertwined. Stitzlein is continually evaluating her thinking, she makes a great effort to understand populism and the possible disappointments of democracy that people may feel

Acabo de salir del cine de ver el largometraje "Sorda". Se abordan temas como el embarazo, la crianza, la relación con el bebé en una pareja oyente y no oyente, el aislamiento y la incomprensión de la comunidad sorda. ¡Otra joyita para las facultades de educación!
