My wife and an African-American woman just followed an Indian woman to her car to help her unload her groceries. I wanted to say something to them, but I was torn. Was it woke, socialist, or DEI?

I was obsessed from age 12 with playing music in at least stereo—and later surround sound. Somehow, in middle age, I became fine with a single speaker in three different rooms of my home, and with a single portable wireless speaker outdoors. Audio engineers everywhere are probably crying.

Do you use voice commands with your smart speaker? Do your houseguests learn the names of all the devices and groups so they can, too? I’m getting a real kick out of this.

I’m about to do exercises for my latest recovery right now. Find their simple pain-relief videos on YouTube for free.

Ah, yes. My wife’s cousins have their own maple syrup business, so I have learned quite a bit about the way various maple-based goodies are made. We always have a fresh bottle of the golden goodness.
