Shadow Sculptor Game Demo - SpatialMind Project (HGSE AI in Education) A quick look at Shadow Sculptor, one of two interactive 3D games from SpatialMind that helps students practice mental rotation skills. Players rotate 3D block shapes to match a target shadow, building spatial reasoning abilities essential for STEM success. Shadow Sculptor is part of the Student Zone in SpatialMind, an AI-powered educational toolkit developed for Professor Ying Xu's course "Becoming AI Literate for the Future of Education" at Harvard Graduate School of Education (J-Term 2026). Spatial reasoning is the ability to understand the spatial properties of objects such as their size and location, and to visualise objects and problems in the mind. Training children to think and work spatially leads to improvement in mathematics.
