A screenshot of a Facebook post where a person named Andy ask the Well now βWhat the hell is transgender?β
The Royal Canadian Air Force account response with βThatβs a pretty big question asked in a pretty small way, Andy.
βTransgenderβ putting describes someone whose gender β who they know themselves to be β doesnβt match the sex they were assigned at birth. Itβs not new, and itβs certainly not a fad. People have lived this experience for as long as people have existed; weβre just finally talking about it openly.
You donβt have to fully understand it right away, most learning takes time, but we can always start from a place of respect. Thatβs how decent folks handle things theyβre still getting used to.β
Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Forceβs social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like thisβ¦

lol, yes, we are very special and demand constant praise for our unique federal system of governance.
My point is that actual reality is nuanced than Bluesky proclamations. Thereβs actually no Stop Fossil Fuel Extraction button in Ottawa, so hopefully thatβs not your complete theory of change

Doug Fordβs government is abandoning climate targets | The Narwhal
Ontario is moving to repeal aspects of a law that require the government to create a climate plan and greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets
Upon taking office, the Doug Ford gov't introduced a law to cut the "carbon tax" which also obliged the government to create a climate plan & emissions targets. Now, theyβve repealed that dutyβOntarioβs government no longer has to consider climate action.
