My creepy pumpkin. Technique used involved wet on wet, dark colors first, then loading up the paintbrush to create very noticeable strokes. Water dripping gives part of it a melted effect, but one eye is visible, the nose and teeth are a bit abstracted.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

it made me very emotional. so few resources exist outside of online spaces to learn and retell of queer history like this, specifically always erasing trans people and the oppression they have faced, but seeing such a popular candidate acknowledge all of it amazed me. let’s get him in there!!!

hard to obey the rules when oftentimes vanishing points go extremely far off into the distance, way beyond reasonably drawing them in on a canvas sometimes 🥲 I’m gonna FREAK OUT!!!

really raged trying to draw obeying perspective today.. i know it isn’t that complicated but I think the way i’m trying to draw it is too rigid.

i’m good at drawing big things and closeups. not so much full objects from far away. i think the solution is 2 block out the shape first THEN go for lines
