Looking back, I would not recommend DIYing a wedding and starting a podcast in the same ~6 months. But I also wouldn’t have done it any differently.

When I tell you that The Between campaign @kittenmarlowe.bsky.social has has ROUTINELY made my mouth drop open and gasp audibly - I mean it. I'm actually just pissed that I didn't start listening sooner, but I do get to delectably binge it to catch up, which is what YOU reading should do too. #ttrpg

I’m happy to give a peek behind the curtain and show a moment where we paused and asked, “Are we feeling good about this, or do we want to go back and change it to xyz?” My table loves a big swing, but such swings are only possible because we’re working from a place of love and collaboration. I tend to keep a pretty tight hand on Kitten Marlowe’s edit, and cut a lot of above-the-table chatter. But I decided to keep a brief player check-in towards the end of our most recent ep, after a particularly brutal in-game moment. Safety tools are a vital part of my tables. (1/2)

People got pissy with me in in the late-2010s for saying I dislike it when players dump a bunch of backstory on me in the first session, so I made a whole-ass system where, in order to tell your backstory, you have to slowly kill your character over 12-15 sessions.
