My team won a VC award for excellence in 2023 and is now facing major cuts. They work so hard for ANU staff and students but the exec doesn't recognise any of it.

Rapid uptake of Gen AI tools really took off once it was framed as a chat bot that used "I" and responded to you more like a trusted friend. Anthropomorphizing the tool brought huge risks as well-- treated as a therapist, partner.
