On Tuesday, we held our second practice education forum in Ipswich. Over 40 people joined us to explore recognition, guidance and professional development.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our host Suffolk County Council.

We’re looking forward to our final forum on 12 March.

Our internal network for race, equality and cultural heritage led an awareness session for our staff on ways to support Black History Month.

We continued to collaborate, sharing our data and insights with Skills for Care to support the Social Care Workforce Race Equality Standard. This assists participating organisations in reviewing their fitness to practise data and processes, to help ensure fair referrals.

Analysing the diversity data in our fitness to practise referrals process and working to improve fairness where this is needed.

We recognise that social workers face an increase in discrimination in their day to day.
