This past weekend, fans marked both his birthday and the 30th anniversary of the Jimmy Stewart Museum here in his hometown of Indiana, PA.

But the celebration’s just getting started. Come visit this summer and toast the man whose movies still move us. We (and Harvey) look forward to seeing you!

It was Jimmy’s “Navy Blue and Gold” performance that helped Frank Capra choose him for “You Can’t Take it With You”.

Capra called it "a sensitive, heart-grabbing role" that fit his “concept of idealized America".

This week’s matinee is 1937’s “Navy Blue & Gold”. Starring Jimmy Stewart, Robert Young and Lionel Barrymore. This story revolves around three men at the United States Naval Academy.

Jimmy and Hedy Lamarr made two films together in 1940. Work on “Ziegfeld Girl” started four days before production on “Come Live With Me” finished. Both films premiered in 1941.
