We should have the House right now. Let me say it again: we should have the House.

This ain’t just a Texas problem, it’s a national problem. They’re stealing seats to keep power, and that’s how we ended up with Speaker Johnson instead of Speaker Jeffries.

They can’t win fair, so they cheat.

Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

How Many Times Can Science Funding Be Canceled? Whether or not Congress cuts NIH’s budget, the Trump administration has devastated its ability to operate.

@katherinejwu.com got me on the record. My terminated colleagues are scientists and were committed service members. The #NIH lost so much talent.

Congressman Greg Casar on Trump Trying to Rig Texas Maps
YouTube video by Congressman Greg Casar Congressman Greg Casar on Trump Trying to Rig Texas Maps

Donald Trump doesn't want voters to hold him accountable in 2026 for his corruption.

So he's trying to rig Texas maps and dilute the votes of communities of colors and working families.

We can't let his scheme succeed in Texas β€” or it'll spread to the entire country.

The more I see of Jay Bhattacharya in action, the more I settle on this conclusion:

He is an opportunist. He is a mediocre scientist who could never get the NIH Directorship or an equivalent job by merit.

Which is exactly why the Trump admin installed him. They use this to control him.

World Athletics’ mandatory genetic test for women athletes is misguided. I should know – I discovered the relevant gene in 1990 World Athletics says its genetic test for women ensures β€˜the integrity of women’s sport’ – but science does not support this overly simplistic idea.

World Athletics says that "The SRY gene is a reliable proxy for determining biological sex." The guy who literally discovered the gene and has spent the last 35 years researching it says they're wrong. theconversation.com/world-athlet...

Trump’s Texas gerrymander Is supercharging a new war on democracy Texas Republicans just unveiled a shocking plan to give their party five new House seats.

Trump’s Texas gerrymander would give Republicans nearly 80% of seats in state where he got 56% of vote

This is direct result of John Roberts & conservative SCOTUS majority gutting Voting Rights Act & refusing to stop blatant partisan gerrymandering www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Columbia Agrees to $200 Million Fine to Settle Fight With Trump

You can never bend the knee enough to appease an authoritarian bully.

This is a devastating blow to academic freedom & freedom of speech at Columbia.

Many NIH employees signed the Bethesda Declaration, objecting to the destruction of NIH. The Trump NIH Director asked the signers to meet. The rally follows that meeting, in support.

FDA-NIH Workshop: Reducing Animal Testing The FDA is hosting a workshop on reducing animal testing. The workshop is open to current FDA and NIH employees.

Public comments have been opened back up!

Research with animals is critical for providing evidence-based knowledge in the pursuit of human health. Broadly reducing research projects with animals threatens public health and will greatly stall the development of new therapeutics for diseases!

"Hope" and "confident" are not feelings that I experience when thinking about how this administration deals with just about any important matter, including life-saving biomedical research. For the moment, vigorous action in opposition to this, or any variant of this, policy is justified and needed.
