idk if there's really a word for that specifically but i dont think there's been a single time where i've talked about the soul and people haven't understood that aspect of it, it tends to be inherent when you talk about the soul removed from a theistic framework

for me it's shorthand for that part of your subconscious that's you beyond your ego, how you've been you the entire time you've been alive even though you were completely different at every single year in your life, but all the same, how the you from decades ago would not recognize the you of today
