Couple dies in avalanche near Broken Top, sheriff's office confirms BREAKING NEWS: The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office said it's responded overnight to a reported avalanche burial in the area of Trail 8 between the junction with Trail 88 and Trail 6 (FS Road 370). The public is asked to stay out of the area.
