Writing's a funny thing. Some days the words pour out like they've lived in me all my life. Other days the best I've got is a vague concept and a whole lot of nothing in the way of how to express it. I can feel the shortest synapses of something almost tangible firing, gone before I can grasp it.

After my last witch hat wound up more gnome like, I decided to try again with a different (and more whimsical!) pattern. I'm nearly done with increase rows. I think by tomorrow, I'll be adding the brim. 🧙🏻‍♀️

Can never get tired of cake! These are wonderful.

The biggest mistake I made as a beginner crocheter was stock up on super bulky yarn thinking it would be easier for learning since I'd be able to see the stitches easily. Turns out working with thicker yarns hurts my shoulder, and now that's about a third of my yarn stash. 👵🏻😂

It does that! lol And since Joann's closed, I have so many single skeins! 🥲

Making beanies until I run out of discontinued yarns in my stash.

This week I've been listening to quite old Maurice Sendak interviews, and it's been so refreshing hearing someone talk about writing the way I also feel about writing. It's not about trying to reach a certain audience. It's about being taken with an idea and letting the idea guide you.
