i swear to god like every time i think about returning to that fandom it feels like I'm eating gravel because I immediately remember why I left and how some people I know/knew at the time were treated by said fandom

ngl there's one fandom/game I kinda miss being part of but I'm still really scared of posting about/playing the game because one of the people involved in what led to me leaving was a moderator of said game and even now I'm still paranoid about getting banned even though its been well over a year

never gonna get over the fact that I got banned from a discord server because someone there was bragging about lying about their age to follow a friend of mine's 18+ account and I told said friend, getting the kid blocked by them.

I post about whatever I'm interested in, but I don't exactly associate myself with the overall fandoms of most of my interests

for now I'll probably most most about Borderlands, Fallout, Monster Hunter, and SoulCalibur

might make a new pinned, I've had that super outdated list of interests as my pinned for way too long

realizing just how much I want to rant about some communities I'm in because so many are going through really sucky periods but I should post more art. agh

I'm gonna be so honest I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't care about the performance issues with Monster Hunter Wilds at all. like it sucks particularly bad for me because I'm running it on an at minimum spec pc from 2020 but the game runs. Well Enough to be playable for me still

but for real though, no, retroactively adding this to old games doesn't make sense, and will likely be a big waste of money. The last update for Borderlands 2 was way back in 2020, and the last update for 3 was back in 2023. I think its safe to say they aren't going to "make them spyware"

like yeah adding an invasive anti cheat sucks balls but if you have an account on like ANYTHING companies already have the information they'd like to sell, and I'm pretty sure a majority of people complaining about this play LoL or Fortnite, ya know, games with invasive ass anti cheat

seeing all this fearmongering regarding Borderlands is pissing me off. No, it's not spyware. Yes, Take two's EULA did change but they also own Rockstar, the change is most likely related to GTA6. No, them retroactively adding this to old games wouldn't make any sense from a business perspective.

like? it kinda is fruitcake and I tag it as such on tumblr but to me personally it's a separate thing that just kinda falls under that umbrella yk?

also some context on my selfship with Cosmo bc it might be questioned why I'd get jumped for it: I kinda present it as if it were Fruitcake because Sprout is just a character I really see myself in and have kinda just adopted as a representation of myself in this context.
