they've set their own standard in the past & the 'new' version of the game has not been meeting said standard, and i haven't even gotten into the criticism of the content itself. it's a tough & VERY tall order for the current team, but unfortunately the complaints are coming from valid perspectives

i'm holding my opinions on the format for now because there are 4 more tabs left on the story page, but i'm also not expecting much. like i know they don't have the resource they used to have, many ppl got laid off, but they are STILL a multi-billion company. and that's what people see them as

i'd even say people who complain about the format of the story telling are valid. idk why people are pretending this is unreasonable. they used to give us cinematics, PVEs, comics, short stories, and narrated slide shows. of course people are gonna be dissatisfied by only getting the last 3 recently

i have so much thought about the current direction of overwatch lore but it's really hard to have meaningful discussion about it on the net because people either get dismissive or defensive about it. if you can look past the bad faith arguments, a lot of the criticism are very much warranted imo

one of my moicy headcanons is that moira saw mercy overworking herself in the lab and skipping meals, so one day she brought her the extra leftover home cooked dinner. ever since, mercy kept coming back to her like a stray cat moira put out food for once

mercy probably use social media like a mix of white suburban mom posting, medical articles & journals sharing, a bit of vague passive aggressive comments about politics *cough overwatch cough* and sometimes, on her close friend only, she'd vent about work.... and by extension also about moira

and i think twt algorithm is punishing me for lack of drawing post. i wish i could leave that mess of a site, but it's where people find my commissions and store merch 😔

i'm really REALLY grateful that i got a lot of commissions from my last batch, actually saved my butt with bills and my malaysia travel expenses, but the downside is i'm barely drawing outside of work 😭
