Today marks the 65th anniversary of the First Declaration of Havana.

Delivered by Fidel Castro in Revolution Square, the speech was a response to US aggression against Cuba and condemned US imperialism across Latin America.

Today marks 65 years since the 6 April 1960 secret US State Department memorandum which laid down the blueprint for the blockade and future policy towards Cuba - economic warfare, to create shortages and suffering and “bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government.” ⬇️

A second consignment of medical aid has arrived in Havana as part of the Cuba Vive Appeal. Working with UK charity Jacob’s Well, a container of bought and donated items is being checked and distributed to healthcare facilities around the island. Donate ➡️ bit.ly/4gg7wlM
