No post from me for a week now? Just nothing interesting to post ^^ Which is a good thing, actually, the past days everything for me was going as it should, on time, no problems. Yes, not every day is an adventure hehe. Now I have two days off and a nasty cold, since Saturday x.x

Then they got so shocked that they jumped on their bicycles and rode away, clearly scared. They stole corncobs from a nearby field and put them on the tracks, so I rode over them after they left, since leaving the train would have been dangerous for me. Seriously…

Then I saw two children standing there with their bicycles, grinning and watching. After informing the signalman I put my head out of the window and shouted at them so hard, showing them how a dragon can roar, telling them police would come, asking if they were stupid, retarded!?

Just made 3 minutes of delay with this train. Couldn’t believe my eyes, in the distance I see someone walking on a closed level crossing, putting something on both tracks and then running off from the level crossing again. I immediately applied the brakes and stopped before it.

I mean, how many more stickers should we put on there!? And the best thing, he then complained about „fucking DB“ not being able to at least mark that door as unusable 😂😂😂😂😂🙈 Seriously, in this job you see how dumb humanity has become, daily… Or at least a lot of them.

A passenger just tried to leave my train through this door, for almost one minute, he was shouting around „open the doors! Release the fucking doors!“ in the train, until another passenger told him that this door is out of order and that he needs to use another one 😂🙈 Seriously…

Also, I finished this train service four minutes early yesterday. I’m just good ~

And for my last day of work before the free weekend: Germany only, so far so chill ~

Had to shut down and mechanically lock this door today, because it always opened itself automatically when the train came to a stop, even when it wasn’t released, never had that in my 13 years of train driving before xD And yes, people still try using it, despite all the stickers…

Getting back home from work, time for cat wrestling

And it goes on xD So they cancelled a TGV that was supposed to go from somewhere in Germany to Paris within Germany. So to get the people to Strasbourg they sent the people with an ICE to Offenburg and then to me…

And just had to leave another 6 people behind in Appenweier on my way to Strasbourg with my second ride due to my train being overcrowded. Yup, it clearly is vacation season…

Just finished my first train ride of my shift today. My train from Offenburg to Strasbourg was so overcrowded, that I had to leave plenty of people behind who didn’t fit into the train anymore.

I‘m driving Strasbourg again today after having three days off. This is how my first rides went until now. On my second ride, during the border controls, police carried out a man from my train who was completely naked, that’s also where the delay comes from, I was just like „okay“

So yeah unfortunately I had to make a report about that driver since police got involved on phone, so that guy is gonna have a talk with the boss. Oh well, let’s hope he won’t repeat that mistake and will learn something out of it, people were trapped for about 20 minutes.

So what happened? Colleague, a new driver, arrived with two vehicles, delayed and before uncoupling them he didn’t open the doors, he did that after uncoupling, but then the rear vehicle was already disconnected and therefore the doors there won’t open… 🙈🙄 Oh man, new people…

- if they were locked in and they said yes, when the train arrived the doors never opened! One female currently had the police on her phone. I let the people out then by unlocking the doors, they were super thankful and told the police on the phone that someone finally freed them.

So when I walked to my train in Offenburg to take it over, I saw that all doors were locked, it said do not board in the displays and I saw about 20 passengers still in the train, trying to get out, some with phones on their ears, I was like wtf!? When entered the train I asked -

Having the same shift as yesterday today, but today I’m off to a much better start than yesterday. That’s the way I like it ~

It’s not getting better… There was a fire near the tracks somewhere between Strasbourg and Kehl, had to wait… And in Offenburg they didn’t have a free track for me and the junction into the depot is broken right now, had to leave the trains in the station, so no cleaning x.x

As usual, if everything is alright you depart on time, if there is something wrong with someone or with multiple people you get delays.

Phew… After having one day off I‘m driving the line to Strasbourg today. And this train on the photo was my first train ride I finished on time today. Everything else got messed up again by broken trains and broken infrastructure in both countries x.x And overcrowded trains…

At work again, driving Germany only for the last time this week. But the first train ride of my shift was already problematic again, despite being a very short one. No, the train works perfectly fine, DB infrastructure is just performing terribly again, as usual.
