Working for money, slowly but steadily earning those coins. This isn't the adventure I signed up for.
I guess there are worse things, though, and at least I'm getting good at what I do

Time to go off and earn some more money to buy some real clothes. Not in this outfit, of course. Good thing I'm being invited to take on some proper paying jobs for the guild now, rather than just delivering their post.

What the heck is this? There's no way I can ever wear this out in public, damn that shop keeper, I bet I can't even get a refund on these either.

I spent all of my money, but I'm sure it'll be worth it, I'm told these are the best clothes I can get for now...

Still, I just barely survived the fight, saved all the innocent bystanders and found myself back in my own room, if somewhat battered and bruised and unsure how I got here and after strange, confused memories or dreams about the unusual people I met there.
Now what to do today? I might go shopping.

Also do love strange, shadowy figures that can summon living stone creatures to fight for them and then slip off in the middle of the commotion without a trace...

Do love waking up dazed and confused in a strange part of the forest, not sure where I am or how much of what just happened was a dream...
again...

I dunno, these #Ixal folk are losing my sympathy a little here, all very well when it's talk of defending themselves and their homes in an increasingly crowded forest, but now they're making unprovoked attacks against religious figures, and more importantly against me.

So apparently this new assault, against a mission to consecrate the ruins back to the spirit of the forest, is aligned with these #Ixal raids in the area, and they need all the help they can get, hence dragging me into it.

Here we go, off to defend innocent people against a 'shadow' they say is menacing them from some ancient ruins...
I suspect more 'hostile shadowy figure' than an actual floating darkness, whatever they say.

Like this guy at the archers' guild? How dare I use my own bow and arrows to hunt dangerous creatures that were threatening people, rather than solely for something pure like target competitions?
I think he's just looking for excuses to complain at this point.

I've been exploring far and wide all around the city, it's a lovely place, just a shame about certain people...

What's this latest new place I've stumbled into? I'm going to need to start making a map of all these interesting areas and the people in them.

Something that is also bringing in plenty of money, and an increasing familiarity with areas of beautiful landscape, gradually further away from the safety of the city.
Though, this whole countryside is densely populated with interesting people I hope to get to know better

Another benefit of all this practise every day, I'm being trusted more and more with cleaning up others' mess, proving myself at least an equal to people in the same positions as me.

A good thing I'm quick on my feet and starting to get the hang of this new weapon, enough to stay barely out of the way while using it

Been set what should have been a simple exercise in target practice, but with so many particularly nasty, vicious beasts around the area the girl at the guild setting the task might as well have been trying to get me hurt

Practicing a bit with this new oversized bow, as you can see it's impractically huge and awkward.

Like seriously, what am I supposed to do with this? How am I even meant to squeeze it through all the dense trees and bushes here, it's just not practical.

Though, they've now lent me this massive longbow to use, they said it was the smallest one they had, but it's still far too big to be practical for anyone except giants. Which is most people around here.

Well, I delivered all the parcels, I'm just going to sit here and rest for a bit...

At least I'm getting to see some pretty looking places on my visit, even if most of the people here are quite rude and unfriendly.

Seems 'new adventurer' means servant these giants can send to collect parcels and deliver letters all day, because they're too lazy to do it themselves.
I mean, they pay well, but I didn't come here to take a job as a postal worker, did I?

What is this weird, creepy place? The conjurers? Seems all dark and silent, not sure I like it. Time to head back to the fun, lively parts of the city.

Looks like I've found the base of those soldier guys that were so rude earlier? Let's stay away from here for now.

I can't help but feel like this kid is messing with me, sending me to do odd things, and now wanting me to dance. But he's the first person I've met here that isn't freakishly tall, so I like him.

Ugh... what did I write here last night? Crazy ramblings that's what. All this running around being bitten and poisoned must be getting to me, I'll be spending the day around the city, recovering.
