Tasmania is a place of historic mistreatment of many young people with disabilities, to which I and people I grew up alongside were among those in harm's way.

I'm going to resolve this and it's affect on my mind, daily life and sleep.

I hope all of you can be there for me as I genuinely heal.

My therapist suggested I put some pronouns on my social media, it's not really something I feel comfortable displaying publicly but I hope that some of you who might be shocked to see me do this can be patient with me while I get the help I need to process some very heavy shit in my life. 1/2

I was awoken very young to the fact that anyone else's pain isn't less than mine just because I'm me - and that's because of the kind of place Tasmania was when was a kid.

The beginning of June has been personally very heavy for me, matters have eased enough for me to focus on less intense shit - the world is fucked right now - but we have to be united

I certainly wouldn't be alive if there wasn't hope for a better future than what any of us have.

There IS hope.

There HAS to be hope for a better future.

Directly sir, as someone who was raised in the system predating the NDIS, it was preferable to seek care overseas and was historically unsafe - I speak as someone with diplegic cerebral palsy.

If not for the NDIS I would recommend anyone who fit my description leave the state to seek care.

If you believe nothing else from scouting this page for the first time...

It's not a good idea for anyone with a disability, or anyone mentally vulnerable to come to Tasmania.

On a historical level, if someone you know fits these descriptions -
Please avoid Tasmania.
