Left your job to become a #caregiver? List "caregiving" on your resume when looking for new work and emphasize your skills learned/improved (e.g. communicating, learning, decision-making, researching, collaborating with others, being flexible).

In-home medical equipment can greatly help and benefit a #senior resident, but this equipment must be easy-to-use and family #caregivers must be well-trained in the use of these products.

Keeping a #senior living at home is an easy way to keep a senior happy. But a family #caregiver needs to take steps to make the home safer. Consider installing alarms, placing grab bars in the bathroom, and reducing clutter.

As a #caregiver, there were many times I felt torn, lost, stressed, and challenged. Caregiving, however, also taught me what I was capable of doing, bettered my relationships with my parents and sisters, increased my self-confidence, and reminded me of hope.

According to Indeed Salaries, the average salary for a #caregiver is $22.88 per hour. This may be dependent on the relevant experience, location, and employer. Considering all they do, I would like to see that rate of pay increased.

Could we take a moment to recognize and thank all the #healthcare workers who were with hospital/long-term care home patients on Christmas rather than their own families?
