Sorry I've been spotty here lately.. Life has been a rollercoaster and, among other things, I lost my job. The market is pretty trash right now, but I'm trying to keep my head up. I'll be popping in here for quick shots of serotonin, and hopefully back to my active self soon.

I was reflecting on this the other day that all but 1 of the places I've ever worked has closed down.
Managing a closing retail location (especially one you've enjoyed) can be so disheartening. Unless you've gone through it, it's hard to really understand that emotional Rollercoaster. 😵‍💫

I hear that.. I actually set mine up while I was in a rough patch in college. Funds were super tight back then! 😵‍💫 I was lucky my dad was able to co-sign on a small overdraft protection line of credit with me. I later re-applied to remove him and increase the line because adulting is expensive. 🙃

Also, for future protection, some institutions allow you to set up an overdraft buffer (either a linked credit card, or a small line of credit) to avoid overdraft fees. It's not often advertised, because overdraft charges are just free money for them.. Mine has really saved me in similar instances!

Such a terrible situation.. I'm glad you got through it! Pro-tip, it's worth reaching out to your bank to ask if they can waive the overdraft. Some institutions will look at your history and, if it's fairly positive, they'll waive the occasional charge. $500 is definitely worth a try!
