The Mayor’s Annual Food Drive starts today!
City Council is competing to raise food and monetary donations for the Calgary Food Bank in December and this morning we joined our colleagues for a potato-bagging race.
We finished 2nd, packing 750 lbs but need help to keep up the momentum! 1/ #yyc

It's official - after 8 days of debate, our budget adjustment hearing is over.
The headlines were all about tax relief but there was so much more.

Day 1 of budget week is over. And after a full day of hearing from Calgarians about the next year of City priorities, I'm back where I started: waiting for the CTrain for my journey home.

Believe it or not, blanket rezoning is back at city hall.
As we continue the discussion around how to best move forward as a city, one thing we all have to remember: Calgary is growing and we all need a safe, affordable, and vibrant place to live.

Hee married my grandmother there and she wore a dress made from an old parachute.
He shared some stories with me near the end of his life which I've held close to my heart.
Today I remember him 2/
Remembrance Day is deeply personal for me. My grandfather served as a Flight Lieutenant in WW2 in the Royal Canadian Airforce and flew patrols off the coast of Newfoundland protecting ships from attack.
Later in the War, he trained pilots in the Commonwealth Training Plan in Southern Alberta 1/
I was honoured to share this responsibility with members of our emergency services who serve our city every day.
We should all take a moment to reflect and remember that this act is something to carry with us every day 2/
