2025 saw a record 15 pedestrians killed in our city. This is a failure of leadership. We must do better. 2/

Blaming a lack of parking for an increase in road rage and using the term “war on cars” days after two Calgarians were killed while walking in marked crosswalks, all because the councillor opposes a development in Ward 8, is irresponsible.

It is top of mind for us. We have several ideas that are in the works and it is a priority for many of us into the next budget cycle. We always love hearing additional thoughts and feedback so feel free to reach out to ward8@calgary.ca if anything comes to mind.

Agreed. I've had some of the similar experiences at this intersection. Your input is great. Thank you for taking the time.

We're working on other strategies and funding. Unfortunately because it was budget adjustments our ability to expand programs was limited. But there is some good consensus on Council about the urgency of this issue.

In the meantime would love to have input on the identified locations.

We will inquire about continuing this reporting and provide an update.

Bearspaw water main break

Their efforts brought the pipe back online safely while ensuring all Calgarians had access to safe, clean water during this critical period.

Additional work will continue as we work towards additional pipe reinforcement in Spring and Fall.
