Tech firms face demands to stop illegal content going viral
UK regulator Ofcom is consulting on more safety measures for online platforms, such as preventing screen-records of children's livestreams.
Ofcom's new proposed measures will not address the current levels of harm or major new suicide and self-harm threats.
It's time for the Prime Minister to intervene and introduce a strengthened Online Safety Act that can tackle preventable harm head on.

Ofcom has betrayed bereaved parents like me
Molly Rose was bombarded with deeply harmful content
I am dismayed to say that the regulatorβs timid approach announced yesterday has left me more disappointed than ever.
We now need leadership to comprehensively tackle the preventable harm children will continue to face online.
