Exactly. It's a frustrating one really as I don't mind a driver trying something to spice up a race or trying an unconventional overtake spot no matter who it is, but the history between them just made it feel like a, "not again, sigh" incident.

I will add that what Leclerc did was 100% frustration, somewhat dangerous & a poor move under braking.

Verstappen didn't contact Lewis, but the spirit of the move seemed like a cynical move-or-we-crash. The debate being if Lewis wasn't left with a choice, or if these things just happen in racing.

Charles Leclerc confirms they had a problem with the chassis, resulting in a lack of pace from around the midpoint. Controversial moves from him on Russell & Verstappen on Hamilton raise a few question marks about penalty consistency for me.

For such a difficult track to overtake on, the Hungarian Grand Prix almost always comes through for us with some excitement, has done for decades. I was there in 2013 for Lewis Hamilton's 1st Mercedes win!

On a serious note, I have been wondering for a while where the fleet of these are if F1 is going to insist on red flagging rather than blue tyre'ing.

Yes I'm aware these might not be owned by the tracks, so moving them around the contiguous US is logistically easier than flying them worldwide.

Bortoleto is having a great weekend in 9th, but overall he's having a good rookie season. Not many people would've bet on him & Hadjar being standouts.

I don't think I'm being naive in believing Hamilton gained 0 time being fractionally over the white line in a flat-out corner in Q1.

I know rules are rules, but the rule is there to prevent going wide on entry or exit to take extra speed into a corner that'd normally be slower 🤷🏼

When sprints were introduced I did wonder how (1) a shorter race where binning your car massively compromises your chance at more points in the GP & (2) a series that isn't exactly famous for overtaking would benefit from them.

Some track choices have been pretty questionable, too.
