Mom 1: Mamas, I need your help. My dd (5f) is the slowest eater I have ever met. She just picks at her food and has barely taken a bite by the time dinner is over. We’ve checked for allergies, and I don’t think it’s a sensory issue. I follow Kids Eat In Color, but nothing is working. I don’t want to ruin her relationship with food, but I need her to hurry up! Mom 2: Maybe she’s just a grazer, could you leave out fruits and cheese sticks and just not worry about meal times? Mom 3: Include her in the cooking! My 4yo and I cook together every night. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: Here’s what you do. Get yourself several smaller versions of all your plates and utensils, in increasingly small sizes. If you can't find any just lmk and you can have mine, I’ll leave them on the porch. Mom 1: small plates? Why? Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: At first she’ll think it’s funny to have dainty little dishes, but eventually the malnutrition will become obvious. Mom 1: My daughter is perfectly on the growth curve, she is not malnourished. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: Not yet, but once you have her eating off a plate the size of a quarter and drinking milk by the thimble full she’ll become weak. So weak she won’t be able to play or lift her toothbrush. That’s when you swoop in and feed her a normal amount, and I promise you she will eat MUCH more quickly. Mom 3: Switch to showers. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: Buy some radish seeds. Mom 1: ??? Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: What part is confusing you Mom 1: What do radish seeds have to do with taking a bath? Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: After the child hasn't bathed for long enough to build up a nice thick bed of dirt on their skin, just pop the seeds in there when they’re asleep. Once the radishes start to sprout, the child will be freaked out and will beg to take a bath. Works every time. Mom 1: You’ve actually done this before on your own children?? Did CPS show up at your door??? Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle: No, I don’t have children.

Mom 1: How do you teach a boy table manners? My 7yo is so rude at the table we can’t take him anywhere. He eats with his hands, doesn’t cover his cough, chews with his mouth open. 100% agree. I have been mostly lucky in my pregnancies (3 kiddos still here) but my (only) 1 miscarriage was so traumatic and it lasted 3 mo AND I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA.

I peaked into the news several times today and immediately noped the eff out. Still going to hide in my book thank you very much.
