Over winter, we mulch our veg beds with manure straight from our rabbitry. It suppresses weeds and is pretty much all turned into compost by spring. It feels like cheating!

Absolutely loving the eggs laid by our Blue Araucana, Violet. Biology is amazing - did you know a picture of whatever Araucanas eat becomes imprinted on their eggs like a photograph? As you can see, she's been having lots of fresh leafy forage from the garden.
