I spent yesterday making pot roast and apple pie for my darling's birthday. I love cooking – it's fully engaging, I'm always learning, and it serves a purpose – so my inner 'be productive' nag stays blessedly silent. Mm... pie.

Great shot. I had terrible arachnophobia when I was younger. I'll still scream and flail if one startles me, but I'm getting much better at tolerating them if they're not too close, partly through learning more, and partly from seeing interesting photos like this (good exposure therapy).

Thanks! I've been participating in some of those challenges without understanding how they're related. I'll be traveling & not posting much (if at all) for the next 10 days or so, but might like to join when I get back. Sounds like #EastCoastKin is part of what makes Bluesky such a wonderful place!

I've spent enough time in 16 of them to remember. Never been to Miami or Honolulu, and I don't recall Philly or Nashville, so if I was there, it was only passing through. I've been fortunate to see a lot of the contiguous US, though I still need to visit Hawaii and Alaska.🤞
