#nzpol needs to note - Countries that have strong primary care systems spend less overall on health, have better health outcomes, and enjoy greater equity. Those that neglect primary care pay for it through hospital pressures, workforce burnout and widening inequities.

Thank you for posting about this. I grew up in Oregon and love its forests. This proposal is heart-breaking. Also, as someone who helped prepare EISs for much of my career, I am disgusted by the shortcuts BLM is taking with this project.π‘ I submitted my comment.

These photos are from a climb in one of the threatened old growth forests, in a 200 ft high Douglas Fir. These are from 20 years ago, when 3 generations (two of my kids, me and my 70 year old dad) spent a day up in the canopy of this beautiful giant of the forest.

Both of them have webbed, duck-like feet and huge gremlin ears, and they are carrying fishing rods. One of them has caught a crescent moon on his fishing trip, while the other one is carrying a bucket in his other hand. They are photographed against off-white mulberry paper in warm lighting, and stand in the midst of dried plants, branches, and lit candles.
A bright pink elephant with turquoise blue butterfly wings for ears, and metal antennae. She is standing on a white windowsill next to a candle and some dried flowers.
A sculpture depicting a penguin living inside a bright rainbow-coloured seashell. It is made from paper mache and painted with acrylics, and has a slightly rugged surface texture.
Three miniature gremlin figurines made from paper mache and spun cotton, which is used for bright blankets they are wrapped in. One of them is orange, one purple, and one green-ish teal. They are standing on mulberry paper next to some dried oats.
Hi #PortfolioDay! :)
I'm a sculptor and dollmaker in rural Scotland who works with paper mache most of the time. I make gremlins and all sorts of odd little critters!

It was Ellisonβs first book and it gave readers a thoughtful and profoundly personal account of racismβs omnipresence. The New York Times described Invisible Man as, βa chronicle of a young Black man's awakening to racial discrimination and his battle against the refusal of Americans to see him apart from his ethnic background, which in turn leads to humiliation and disillusionment.β The Times also said, βInvisible Man has been viewed as one of the most important works of fiction in the 20th century. It has been read by millions, influenced dozens of younger writers and established Mr. Ellison as one of the major American writers of the 20th Century.β Invisible Man also made Ellison the first person of color to win the National Book Award. It led to his teaching positions at Bard College, Rutgers, and Yale University.
