It is super challenging! I have all my work photographed by Alexander Patho Jr. he had to figure out a whole new way to photograph artwork for it! He also makes my prints. Photographing art and making archival prints for artists is what he does for a living!

LOL much safer to hold one of my ferrets to your ear. You’d get to hear them as they give kisses and sniff your hair.

They were! I only work traditionally. The neat thing is most have gold leaf in them too, it adds a little life to it in person. The fish is genuine silver leaf so it flashes like a real fish if you move around the painting!

This is something I don't think enough people talk about.

My most productive hours are 10am-4pm, but those are spread between a multitude of tasks and each thing I do eats away at my ability to work better. Sometimes that means I end work at 3pm because otherwise I'd be spinning my wheels.

This author and OP has some other good Yokai books. Another author to look up is Matthew Meyer. I have his The Fox’s Wedding which is awesome and he also has a website called Yokai.com
