black and white comic of highschool Gojo and Geto. First two panels : Geto painfully swallowing a curse. Then a big panel of Gojo pulling his arm and kissing him on the lips.

First panel : horizontal shot of Gojo and Geto slowly parting. Geto is wide eyed. Second panel : Gojo comically thinking, looking up, tongue out upwards, index and thumb on his chin. Geto is blushing and saying "Satoru what the-?!". Third panel : Gojo still with his index finger on his chin, says "Well you said that curses taste awful when you swallow them so I wanted to see if I could feel it" and adds "I can't taste shit though". Geto looks done and says "What the hell man".

Last page. Top is a big panel of Gojo and Geto making out inside of a thought bubble. Below is both of them, looking away from each other, but both are thinking the same thought. Gojo thinks "I should have kissed him with tongue" and Geto thinks "He should have kissed me with tongue".

this weekend, if all goes well! i can't tell if it's good or bad at this point. i just need to release it into the world (which is how i typically feel when i post ahaha)

i always write these two with the assumption that, no matter what, the love is there 😌❤️

a light brown and white pitbull smiles right at the camera. she has a light pink nose mottled with black, light brown eyes, and a large goose-egg lump on the top of her noggin, over by her left ear. her name is strawberry.

strawberry the pitbull sits in some grass and looks up at you while wearing a felt strawberry costume. it’s a red cape with yellow dots for the seeds, and she’s wearing a green leafy hat, with one leaf gingerly propped up on top of her head lump.

a mostly white pitbull with a light brown spot over her eye and ear and a big raised lump on her head snuggles with two kids on a gray sofa. she’s tucked in under a striped blanket, her head resting on one kid’s chest and with the other leaning lovingly on her back. she has the most contented and peaceful sleeping face.

This is Strawberry. She was almost euthanized in a shelter because of the bump on her noggin. Fortunately it was harmless scar tissue from an old injury. Her unique appearance helped her get the attention of a forever family, who love her just the way she is. 14/10 (IG: strawberrytheunicorndog)

based on my own experience, those look like accurate numbers! the soul-crushing avalanche of rejections sure is an experience, and i'm sorry you have to go through it. i hope you'll get a good offer soon!

ah, i'm too much of a discovery writer to really achieve that. going back to tidy up plot threads is crucial to my process. but! even with a fully finished draft i am sometimes able to incorporate ideas sparked by readers, and it's always a lovely experience ❤️

it's so important to have a little win sometimes. post a chapter, or finish a draft and know i could post it. getting stuck in WIP hell can be SO demotivating

‘You’ve trained for this, Satoru.’ For as long as he can remember. His entire life, perhaps. When he was four years old, Satoru went on his first annual family ski trip. By the end of the second day, he was bored of inching down the bunny hill with his skis in permanent pizza, stuck behind an instructor who was too slow for him. He saw his cousins launching themselves sideways off the kickers in the snow park and threw a tantrum in the middle of the green run until his parents put him on a board. He was six when he won his first competition. Ten when he got on a plane by himself to spend an entire season training in North America. And Satoru was 16 when he took silver at his first ever Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. All his life, he’s followed the snow. When spring arrives in the north, he flies south. And when it arrives in the south, he heads home again. Season after season after season spent chasing winter around the world. Satoru has lived in near endless cold and dark, and all of it for this. All for a single day of competition that only comes around once every four years. All in the name of becoming the greatest snowboarder of all time. He’s trained for this. And it wasn’t all bad. Even if he held back tears the whole way from Tokyo to Vancouver — a 10 year old Satoru thought he’d lose points for crying in front of the cabin crew; champions don’t cry — the moment he saw Tsukumo Yuki grinning at him through the glass as he was chaperoned off the plane, it became a little easier to blink them away. It’s been a little easier every year since. Satoru has trained for this.
