Making games with forced limitations can prevent this - e.g. Pico8, Playdate, real 8 bit computers. Or pick a forced arbitrary limitation - 320x240 display. Max 1mb for all assets, etc.
If you've not seen the JS13k jam, people entering that manage amazing feats of tiny game.
I know, I know... AI datacenters sucking up every bit of RAM, GPUs, HDDs (and water) is pretty bad. But on the other hand, future AAA games might look cool like this, instead of chasing this endless, unsustainable bit of photorealism.

15.02.2026 17:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0I've seen projects go through preproduction, create highly polished demos then be entirely rebooted back to the beginning because the people at the top didn't feel it. Multiple times. And even greenlit projects find that they suddenly get pushed back to the start for random stupid ego reasons

What about a folder *on the desktop*?
(May be called "New Folder (7)")
Yeah - 70 sales for me after two months - got a little boost with a new year sale, but none in February so far - have ideas for more games (and updates to my current game), but it takes the excitement off developing knowing there just isn't a big market out there (or the market is too saturated now)

I once bought a small armchair from an bric a brac market, and had to take it home on the Metro, since we were parked at another station.
Of course I sat in it, but got so many "what sort of arsehole brings his own chair?" looks!
The trick is eye distance. If you take a real stereo pair, but have the eye positions twice as far apart, it'll look like a model.
So yeah, you need lensing so that the two eye positions are real eye distance in the model's scale.
I guess it's because, as it was with Cummings, they've convinced themselves that the chief advisor is the only thing keeping them successful at whatever in their warped view they think they're being successful at.

Ooh, that is genuinely useful - I have a huge geeky log spreadsheet that I add to every month, and it always takes ages to scroll to the bottom, given that it contains 26 years of data!
..just add &range=A321 to the end of an existing link, if anyone's wondering
