The thing is, if they offered a perpetual license for the current version of Animate, I would pay a thousand bucks for it, easily.
I just want to make cartoons, and art for my games, in the environment and workflow I'm accustomed to.
Adobe walked back ending Animate, but I'm still going through with my plans dump Creative Cloud. Going to use free/open source alternatives to Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
Gonna try to get my hands on a copy of Flash CS6 to use going forward. Hope a viable alternative appears.
I got CC Animate working. I should be able to preserve all my stuff. Even if it's annoying and tedious, it's at least guaranteed.
