starting to realize I'm not gonna be able to hold out. was hard enough when MLS stream-paywalled their shit. I might sometimes pirate on the high seas of digital distribution, but it's a hassle. the closer we get to Australia, the realization is setting in I'm gonna have to get AppleTV

Stephen's Stealth Stats update
12th Stealth R/T Turbo on BaT in the last 6 mo. Have to go back an additional 12.5 mo to find the next 12. They're listed @ 2x the rate in the last half year. Owners/speculators are making them YOUR problem before these complicated rare pieces become their problem π€£
if you average in the A- grade for Lumen South [the former Levi's Stadium] the field grade rises to about a C

It's incredible. It looks so small and light in a world that forgot what that is! It looks purposeful, intentional, and fun. I desperately want this to be based on whatever the next "Celica" is going to be.
I wanna take it out for expensive premium fuel, drive it hard, then cuddle with it.

yeah ABS was usually an option on cars when offered in the later '80s, but Ford didn't even offer that [which likely would have come with rear discs as pairing ABS & drums was still uncommon]
the Scorpio had standard 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS in the US from day 1
normal person @ 1pm: working
me @ 1pm: paused working to contemplate why the Merkur XR4Ti, for all of its Euro performance roots, not only didn't offer ABS ever in its US run [thru '89], it never even had rear disc brakes. that turbo intercooled, OHC, RWD, full indy suspended machine had rear drums
LinkedIn 1 wk be like: you appeared in 32 search results, 10 ppl looked @ your profile & they were from *companies I look at*
7 days later: you appeared in 2 search results, 1 of those companies is Soylent Green & no one looked @ you

Weird Subaru is best Subaru
When bored in a zoom meeting last year I doodled one!
Related to something your blog post mentioned, I thought the SVX was an attractive and arresting design at the time. While looking very "period" it's also aged really well.
The XT is my favorite Subaru design of all time. It's so fucking weird. Is it attractive? Doesn't matter. π
