While obeying now can save lives of others now, continuing to obey orders to deny healthcare to people could result in everyone losing access to things they need over time. Health care is a human right that everyone deserves access to.

Fully agree that politicians bear an enormous amount of responsibility and can and must be doing more to fight this. And, is it ethical to advertise oneself as inclusive while denying particular groups care? I also worry about the long term costs of obeying

Something that never sits well for me: they have inclusive pride flag stickers all over their offices while they do this on a systems level. They seem to want to appear inclusive while denying folks critically important health care. Shame on them.

Wild that a person who believes in maintaining barriers for students is in a position of leadership and has a voice in this.

Just finished Alan Cumming’s memoir “Not My Father’s Son” which was excellent, and just started Malcolm Gladwell’s “Revenge of the Tipping Point” yesterday, and so far so good!

Of course there are seats on the train. But you can’t get on the train until boarding time. People need a place to wait comfortably. There is ample space there for seats and clear passageways.

Those waiting areas are small and fill up easily. It was a choice to provide vastly fewer seats than the space can hold.
