Stonewall means “fight back.” 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

You cannot divide us, and you cannot erase queer and transgender people from our histories.

Stonewall sparked the modern-day LGBTQ+ rights movement because trans women of color had had enough, pushed back, and spoke out for liberation.

The tireless work of Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and countless other trans women of color paved the way and continue to inspire us. You can try to erase our history, but we will never forget those who came before us and we will continue to fight for all those who will come after us. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

New Yorkers showed up today at a protest planned in less than 24 hours to speak out against the Trump administrations’s removal of transgender and queer people from the Stonewall National Monument website.
