Well worth a watch ahead of Nolan’s THE ODYSSEY. Stripped back and lacking the mythological aspect, and a bit Sunday night on ITV1, but I’ve long wanted Fiennes to play Odysseus so I’m glad this exists.

The Running Man is pretty shonky in general and a frankly terrible adaptation of the book but I kind of admire its ridiculousness, though I’m certain that was far from intentional. My pick would be Infinity Pool. First film I’ve ever seen to make nipples scary!

not particularly wowed by Spike Lee’s HIGHEST 2 LOWEST

Mark will likely pick Kensuke’s Kingdom, but for me it’s The Remains of the Day, always. A film I put off for many years because it would be long and stuffy but really it’s an absolutely gorgeous and quietly devastating tale of unspoken love. It became an instant favourite when I finally saw it!
