A photo of a Mute Swan and Grey Heron in a suburban park lake in Dublin. Used a CZJ lens from the 70s giving the image an old timey vintage look. This pair weren't particularly friendly to each other but that's normal. The herons will try to grab cygnets when they're young and obviously the swans are not keen on that. I'm surprised they were this close to each other as the large male swans will usually lash out and try to grab the herons if they get close.

I didn't think I'd have anything for Rob's #BirdOfTheDay theme of #MixedPairs today but I've just been to the park this morning and caught this pair. Got soaked in the rain but such is life in Ireland.
