I have not spoken to one expert in DC from either party in the past 48 hours who thinks: a.) Trump has a real plan re: Iran, b.) Trump has considered all the potential consequences of his actions, c.) Trump believed there was an imminent threat to the US (because there wasn't one.)

The US has no industrial capacity to produce the munitions needed to fight a large scale conflict in Iran. If this spirals into a protracted conflict, the US will not be able to sustain a bombing campaign. It must put troops on the ground. They have no plan for this.
