Have a synth medic! She loves helping out organics and synths alike, acting as a first responder in emergency situations. With her on your team you never have to worry about running out of bandaids.

This is such a weird problem to have? It's not like the Bond series is actually a coherent linear narrative about the same character.

Don't worry about continuity, there is none. A significant number of fans already believe that "James Bond" is a fake name that goes with the 007 position.

A six-panel comic. In panel 1, text says "People often wonder, why don't I see baby pigeons? Here's where they're hiding:" and there's an egg with an arrow pointing to a question mark, then an arrow pointing to an adult pigeon. Panel 2 says "Pigeons don't nest in trees. They nest in sheltered spaces on or in buildings. This keeps their babies safe from weather and predators." There's a pigeon nesting in a sheltered cavity in the side of a building. Panel 3 says "The hidden babies look like this: like moldy potatoes, but cute" and there are two baby pigeons looking, well, like moldy pink and gray potatoes with yellow fuzz. Panel 4 says "Older baby pigeons hide in plain sight. When they leave the nest, they're adult-sized, but they're still young and learning" and a fledgling pigeon is flying out of a building saying "aaaaaa". Panel 5 says "Here's how to identify these young pigeons" and shows a fledgling pigeon with arrows pointing to these features: eyes may be gray-brown, pale-edged feathers, smaller "nose" (cere), subdued hues, and looks worried. Panel 6 says "Scientifically speaking, though, all pigeons are sweet babies" and there are three very cute round pigeons, a gray, white, and red one, with arrows pointing to them to make things look scientific.

No? The families of queer people are not, historically, especially reliable as far as being respectful and constructive to the queer community goes.

Her mother is pushing bullshit solutions that hurt trans people and legitimize the official position of transphobia. She should shut the fuck up.

It mostly just boils down to selfish assholes looking for validation of their inflated opinion of themselves. Racism is just a very convenient set of arguments for them to gesture at for why nothing is ever their fault and why they deserve more than their neighbours.

What you should expect is repeating waves of fascist power grabs of various competence followed by "returns to normal" that just cement the damage done as the status quo, until there isn't the political infrastructure left to keep up the charade.

10.11.2025 14:08 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

...but that just leaves room for the next wave of fascists to continue the work, sooner or later.

There is a deep rot in the United States and there simply isn't a good way to excise it. There is no peaceful path to recovery and progressive politics being normalized.

10.11.2025 14:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The problem as I see it is that even the failure of this current regime will not reverse in the damage being undone - there just isn't meaningful political will at the level of power to root out fascism.

This regime WILL almost certainly collapse soon one way or another...

10.11.2025 14:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I genuinely don't think there's a way out of this - America is going to be increasingly hollowed out until it eventually collapses into a mishmash of successor states, split along whatever lines emerge to keep bunches of states functional as the federal government collapses.

10.11.2025 14:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The problem is that the fascism runs SO deep, and the status quo is SO bad, that even if the regime got ousted and its most obvious members imprisoned, it'd just start a countdown timer until the next wave of fascist populism tried again.

10.11.2025 14:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

At my most optimistic I think we might be looking at a military coup in the near-to-mid future (the regime is consistently treating the military like dirt, which is a bad plan historically)? Which /could/ be a handover back to moderate leadership, but even that would just be a brief reprieve.

10.11.2025 14:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 4    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Almost definitely not. There simply is not organized political will to tackle the herculean task of pulling the fascists out by the root. The Democrat party is full of collaborationists, and there just aren't really any alternatives with the power required right now.
