Being a hater for a greater satisfaction (fun, artistic comment, masochistic challenge, etc.) makes sense, but this wasn't any of that, it was just someone joylessly spending a full-time day plus overtime on a not-too-hard game that most people on backloggd rate from “mid” to “good but not great”

I think what gets to me about this is how joyless and vapid it is. Nobody's riffing, nobody's critiquing, there's no legit or even ironic enjoyment of anything, just a non-stop flow of petty hatred—a budget vision of inferno

There's something deeply weird about streaming yourself playing a game you despise and find no redeeming qualities in, for 9 hours, to an equally-hateful audience that's poring over every frame for things to shit on… I dunno, I guess these are just the lives some people lead
