Yep already in the process of doing that as wanting to visit UK for birth! Awaiting passport to come back ect. Some say it may affect those via lineage who are also eligible for a UK or Irish passport!

They did today! In a way! You can use an old passport as long as you got it after expired after 1989! So that is better, but does not help those from the big influxes of emigrants in the 70s & 8Os like me, particularly those that left because of the troubles!!!

I came in 70's with parents. Had UK cit, voted & work for Oz Pub Serv. Traveled up to 90s on UK 1 before a citizen, yes, I should have become one sooner in the 20teens & have used my Oz 1 since! My son lives in UK on both! Have kids & GK with triple cit too! What effect will it have on them?

If I travel on UK/Irish only I would need something to enter OZ. I would have to have my UK/Irish one marked as a cit of Oz. I don't know if you can? Perm residents of Oz on other passports must get a visa in their other countries passport! It is a pain in the ass!!

I enter on either UK or Irish PP. Because of the Gd Fri agreement, so either is acceptable. I am getting the Irish one to not pay the UK gov! Have been there on my Aus one! I have to reenter OZ on my OZ PP as I have to show I can live here! Out on Irish/UK & in on OZ! Going for birth of C C soon!!!

This is also worse for kids who are UK citizens who emigrated on parents passports (you could then). Don't know anything about UK and have an Aus PP. They will have to get one even when it was not their decision to leave the UK. An accident of birth & a decision that they had no control over!!!

Snap!! I am a triple citizen! My old UK is out of date as of the news you can use an expired Old passport that was issued after 1989, my is earlier! I am getting a new Irish one as I will not pay the UK Gov. Hopefully it will come so I can book before a birth I want to be there for!

In fact it is worse than that! Any cit of any country in the world that is a UK/Irish cit must travel on a UK or Irish passport! You could be a cit of Japan or Italy etc & have UK or Irish cit & have to get 1 too! Also no mentions that those born in Nth Ireland could have triple as I do!!
