To clarify, it's the idea of a character being in stasis too long, and the person they are looking for is the main villain who will want you to join your side when you meet them.

The big difference being Oz would have real motivation.

First playtest was done last night;

First part was a bit meandering, the first boss needs to be re-worked again, and the tiles clash, BUT the second part of the playtest was mildly fun, and I had fewer typos than normal!

I don't know about the tiles, but the other stuff I'll go back to fix!

I'm removing the "Spawn Events" plugin and just making the projectile an object that's automatically placed in every room...

It's a band-aid fix... but it should work.

I just did a visual novel test with a friend, and it was a moderate success.

If I can't permanently find a way to fix this bug by the first playtest, I'm going to punish my game by reworking it into a visual novel.
