It was surprisingly difficult to decide what books to put on the bookcase. Even more difficult than keeping my blah blah blah to under 300 characters.

I have been reliably informed that I didn't go overboard with the gold paint pen.

Last week, I made a cardboard wedge to keep my lamp from leaning on the slope of my desk. The original plan was to eventually make one out of wood that would look more tidy.

Today, I had the idea to make my cardboard wedge look like a book. Now, I have a classic stack of books under my lamp.

Listen, it's an ugly world out there. I'm here, trying to keep my boat from capsizing. To that end, I'm crafting, as I always do.

Today felt like the ideal day to pack a quilt, a good book, and a simple picnic lunch and head out into nature.

And, in case you have not already guessed, this is all #dollhouseminiatures in 1/12 scale.

We typically wait until October to get ours. I guess I'll have to get mine at the doctor's office. Unfortunately, this is going to be another thing that the privileged few can afford to do, leaving people who have to prioritize groceries and rent over luxuries like vaccines in a place of more risk.

I don't normally name inanimate objects, but I think I will have to call her Charlotte.

But now it is at home with me, iin Southwestern PA.

This week, I drove to Charlotte to pick it up. It had been resting on my nieces apartment.

I finally found a secretary that I couldn't live without. But it was 7 hours away. In Charlotte, NC.

In case I haven't made it absolutely clear here on Bluesky, I LOVE old writing boxes, secretaries, writing desks, etc.
