I'm new at therapy but the very least i have started paying more attention to my mental state, rather than taking it out on others.

I have started to do this when I'm anxious. It kind of puts it out there for me to do something about. I feel like it tamps it down a bit if I can identify why it's happening, and if I can't I can at least recognize it's happening and it won't last forever.

This is really cute! The only thing about the edit that stands out to me is your hair, which you can smooth out with the Stylize > Oil Paint option in Photoshop. Do a duplicate layer of your pic, apply the oil paint style, and then use an inverse layer and paint on it where your hair is.
