Yesterday, @reptakac.com and I met with local students at Delta to discuss recently proposed legislation on cellphone use during school hours. This was a mutually beneficial discussion about the effects of modern technology in our education system, and how students benefit vs. struggle with this.

We need creative solutions to address the lack of affordable housing. Today, I introduced a bill that would require the state to reserve a portion of any former state prison land it plans to sell and offer that land to the host county for affordable housing.

We all win when state government runs more smoothly. Today, the House unanimously passed my bill that would allow PA’s pension systems for state and public education employees to operate more efficiently by implementing a change to help the agencies complete required annual financial testing.
