you guys are actually preordering TVH i could CRY 😭😭 the B&N sales rank has jumped and idk why i was kinda expecting crickets. i feel so loved 🖤

i really did just write a book where i was like ok so they’re lesbians and there’s a poison garden, and what if the lesbians are not only separated by a gate but they literally cannot touch each other?? what then??? 😈

speaking of bloody lil messes, i’m about a third done with my copyedits for TVH and every time i read it i’m struck by how fucking gay it is lol

i don’t wanna be rich i just wanna be able to write books about lesbians committing crimes and getting caught up in horribly bloody lil messes while kissing and stuff whilst also being able to feed my cats 😌

it’s Mex’s first gotcha day!! this picture might be blurry but i think it adequately captures his excitement for his christmas treats. when he came home to us a year ago he was so frightened of everything he wouldn’t even take food from people. now look at him go 🥰

Next year, I’m hoping to find a SF project that could be described as retro futurism or hopepunk. I want space as optimistic adventure, not “this is our last hope.” #mswl

you know how some books have a… a specific Place that seems most effective when working on them? like idk, coffee shops or the lounge vs your study or whatever? well it will never cease to amuse me that this very earthy garden book i’m working on always demands the bath 😅😂
