08.11.2025 09:13 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Perfect timing by @arturo182.bsky.social ! If you're looking for a gift for your nerd friends this holiday season, get them a KeebDeck Basic!
We will be using the KeebDeck Keyboard again for the 2026 badge of Fri3d.be after selling out in no time in 2024.
2 apple slices cut in the shape of the number 8. As requested by my wife, or so I thought...
Apparently not what she meant when she asked me to "cut the apple in 8" π€·
(Why only 2 slices you ask? She stopped me π«£)
The @hackadayofficial.bsky.social Supercon Badge this year will feature a KeebDeck derivative! β¨οΈ

Or just remove them and use an assembly drawing π

Kudos to their support. Lego sent replacement parts, no questions asked!

26.09.2025 10:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hmm. You do need space around those machines for reels / air compressor / clean workspace b so that does make it tricky. But at that price point... Maybe ask around at the local Hackerspace If they've got some room?

Flux is your friend
Use the right type of lead free solder
Use the right solder tip for the task (and solder station with the best handle / power rating for the task)
There is something wrong with the blue Lego bricks from a few years back... They seem way more brittle than their white, red or black equivalent bricks.

Today we're at KiCon, the @kicad.org conference, showcasing our past, present, and future products!
Of course the biggest focus is on #KeebDeck π
Closeup on each column below.
So you can easily stuff a higher value in case the lines are too noisy to pass certification (think about series resistors in DDR or SPI lines which tend to be 22~33R) or for alternative stuffing options. Variant A connects pin to option 1, variant B to option 2.

Find us at KiCon in Bochum, Germany later this week, weβll be showing off those boards and more!

03.09.2025 13:13 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I agree, not what you should do for all your devices. An upgrade of this board could include a configurable efuse as protection or selectable CC resistors to negotiate something other than the 5V 1.5A as it currently does.
