It is nice seeing a leader that realizes there's good in every group of people. I'm guessing the ones that have an issue also don't mind when the rest of the world lumps all U.S. Americans together and assume that we all believe the same, especially with the current administration.

So true. I've seen plenty of politicians and administrations come and go in my 50 plus years and like many people I've always had a slight healthy and rational mistrust of our government, but I never thought I would see the day where I feared my government.

If they identified themselves maybe more people would comply. I personally don't know how I would feel if a masked, armed person approached me with no identification

Correct. I've always wondered how Germans handled their situation. There must have been Gen-Xers like myself, but in Germany whose grandparents supported Hitler. And not every German soldier went on trial. Did they just go back to living their lives after the war and act like nothing happened?
