Writing jam takes centre stage at the moment, and I have a few one-shots planned, but after that it's back to getting more of this story out there. I should draw a real cover...

really, really do recommend checking out FEATHERFALL - slow-burn mechsploitation that really, really makes good use of its setup as the main character starts spiralling into the twisted world of the Proprietress. a very, very rewarding story

My actual day job is quite demanding, and I have bigger creative projects cooking, but expect more chapters relatively consistently? Maybe a slower pace in the shortterm future 'cause I've got the mechsplo writing jam in progress and a couple cool one-shots, but as long as life stays smooth I'm set!

And with 4 chapters that means there's a whole hundred people who've read it~! (Do not fact check this maths it is woefully incorrect.)

As a connoisseur of six-limbed ancient nuclear mechs. I cannot help but appreciate the idea of just writing a setpiece fight because it's fun.

I'll stand by the fact that the reason mechsploitation sticks out from the rest of bad end fiction is that it's simultaneously power fantasy and power loss

It's a wild departure from the established setting simply because that departure is fucking cool as shit. And I love that.

Is making part one of SHOWHOUND an Elden Ring boss fight a tonal shift? Absolutely. Does it feel jarring? Absolutely. Is that a bad thing? Absolutely not!
