Keeping up my #FontsOnFriday streak and back to the Tudor from St Mary’s Totnes. I rather like the C20th cover as well. It reminds me of the old Met Office β€œchicken on a stick” weathercock logo.

Assessing risk requires understanding hazard, likelihood and impact and ideally at a global level by an authoritative multi-lateral body to allow governments to determine how they can best protect citizens πŸ§ͺ

Definitely more gearing up for Spring for #WildflowerHour today. First dogs mercury, stitchwort and speedwell. Easy #TheWinter10 and two to spare. South Devon @bsbibotany.bsky.social @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

Yes. It seems that they got a β€œnew” font when the church was rebuilt around 1480 and IIRC the 900 AD font was buried under the church and rediscovered and retrieved by the Victorians.

A duo of #FontsOnFriday from St Andrew’s Buckland Monachorum. The C15th octagon is very nice but it’s eclipsed by that rotund Saxon tub font. That is a full fat font!
